New Orleans (February 7, 2020) – Fisher Phillips, a national labor and employment law firm representing employers, announces the addition of Andrew J. Baer as Of Counsel in the firm’s New Orleans office.
Andrew was part of his prior firm’s Commercial Litigation and Employment practice where he defended employers in a wide range of complex disputes arising out of federal and state employment laws. His litigation experience includes representing employers in matters involving the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Americans with Disability Act (ADA), and Title VII. As part of his practice, Andrew also helps employers avoid litigation with counseling services to ensure their policies are in compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations.
“Andrew is known for putting clients first and is always striving to achieve the best possible outcome for them,” said Edward Harold, regional managing partner of Fisher Phillips’ New Orleans office. “He regularly helps employers avoid litigation, but when it’s necessary to go to trial, Andrew is someone clients can rely on at every phase of the litigation process. His well-rounded experience will be a great complement to our talented New Orleans bench, and we are excited to welcome him to the team.”
Andrew earned his J.D. and B.S. from Louisiana State University, and he is an active member of both the American Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association. He was named a “Louisiana Rising Star” by SuperLawyers in 2019 and served as an Economic Ambassador to the New Orleans Business Alliance.
