Orlando (April 5, 2019) – Fisher Phillips, a national labor and employment law firm representing employers, announces the addition of Justin McConnell as an associate in its Orlando office.
McConnell advises clients on issues that arise at the intersection of business and employment law. Working closely with business owners, management and human resource professionals, he provides strategic counsel on matters that reduce the risk of litigation, including providing guidance on employee handbooks and policies, wage and hour matters, harassment and discrimination, retaliation, and employment contracts. When litigation is unavoidable, McConnell defends employers against matters arising under Title VIII, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, as well as numerous other federal, state and local employment laws.
McConnell earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida Fredric G. Levin College of Law and his undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Central Florida. While in law school, he was a competing member of the University of Florida Trial team and the Florida Moot Court team, and earned book awards in Trial Team and Trial Practice.
