MEMPHIS, TN (October 3, 2013) – The Federal Bar Association members have elected Craig Cowart of Fisher Phillips as Vice Chair of the organization’s Labor and Employment Law Section The election took place during the group’s annual meeting and convention last month.
The Labor and Employment Law Section provides support to attorneys practicing labor and employment law throughout the country.
The Section provides educational programming, including seminars and webinars, for labor and employment law practitioners.
Craig is a partner in the Memphis and Gulfport offices. For nearly two decades, he has represented the interests of employers in a wide array of employment maters, including labor and employment related litigation, arbitrations, and administrative proceedings.
Craig devotes a substantial portion of his practice to helping employers formulate solutions to issues that arise every day in the workplace, including decisions related to counseling, disciplining, and terminating employees.
Prior to joining the firm, he spent a portion of his career as in-house counsel for an international specialty chemicals company where he was responsible for management of all employment related litigation and legal matters related to human resources.
He is a 1991 graduate of Ole Miss and received his J.D. from the University of Memphis School of Law in 1995.
