In an interview with SHRM, Kristin White reacts to the passage of Colorado’s ballot initiative establishing a statewide program for paid family and medical leave. Kristin explains that companies should be proactive and start preparing for the new law by creating a timeline for implementing the new payroll tax. She also adds that "[e]mployers will need to communicate this new policy to their employees and provide for procedures related to implementing this initiative."
