News

5.28.20

As restaurants across Ohio begin to reopen and increase capacity it is inevitable that state and local health departments will be showing up to ensure eateries are following reopening guidelines. In an interview with Columbus Business First, Steve Loewengart cautions that “ignorance of the law is no defense,” and he goes on to explain that “it is very important for businesses to get educated” to avoid fines or other enforcement penalties.

Steve explains that restaurants are at the heart of reopening the economy and warns that “…they’re going to be the first ones to fall if they’re not playing by the rules.” The article encourages restaurant employers to set a good example for other businesses by sticking to the reopening requirements, and Steve reminds restaurants that “[t]he best defense is to do your best.”
