In an interview with Law360, Ray Perez shares his insights on what general counsel should know about the Inflation Reduction Act. "It may not have a direct impact on them, but it may be [that] other industries that weren't competing with them might now be competing with them," said Ray.

Ray explains that under the proposed legislation employers will have to pay prevailing wages to workers doing construction, alteration, or repair of energy facilities. He urges general counsel to be on the lookout for the prevailing wage and apprenticeship provisions of the law to take advantage of the production or investment tax credits.
