Chris Hoffman offered his insights in an Automotive News article that presented as a “crash course” on basic wage and hour issues related to finance and insurance (F&I).
“F&I personnel paid on commission tend to be exempt from federal overtime requirements,” he said. “However, those staffers will still likely need to keep track of their time like an hourly employee.”
