"It's important for employers to remind their employees that in spite of what they might read or hear in the media, nothing changes in terms of the workplace policy on drugs," said Jim McDonald. "Because marijuana is going to be more freely available it would be a good idea for employers to work with supervisors on how to detect signs of marijuana impairment."
