Food Service Equipment Reports highlighted a press release from the California Restaurant Association regarding their active shooter training awareness video. Alden Parker, co-chair of the firm’s Hospitality Group, is quoted about the unfortunate reality that employers face in these situations.

“Being prepared for these scenarios is an unfortunate reality for today’s public-facing workplaces. While no restaurant wants to invite these situations, if it happens, the employer’s actions long before will be reviewed by many in likely subsequent litigation,” says Alden.
