Join Fisher Phillips Memphis Partner David Jones as he presents on various aspects of U.S. immigration and how they relate to employers. The discussion will include terms and concepts, the agencies involved, the most common visa types, the permanent residence process, and all related compliance and employment law aspects. Attendees should come away with the basic knowledge needed to facilitate communication with foreign national employees and ensure they are taking the right steps in their immigration programs.
Jones represents clients in complex matters relating to both immigration benefits and enforcement and in proceedings before the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Labor, the Department of Justice and the Department of State, as well as in matters related to citizenship status discrimination and export control compliance under the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
This half-day program is appropriate for in-house employment and labor counsel, human resource professionals, or anyone who manages employees and makes decisions impacting their workforce. Space is limited.
