Audrey Surridge Elected 2023-2024 President of Lawyers Club of San Diego

Audrey W. Surridge, an attorney in Fisher Phillips’ San Diego office, was recently elected to serve as President of Lawyers Club of San Diego for 2023-2024. Audrey will be sworn in at the Lawyers Club Annual Dinner and will begin her term in July.
Over 1,100 members strong, Lawyers Club of San Diego is a specialty bar association founded in 1972 with the mission to “advance the status of women in the law and society.” The association’s members include attorneys, judges, law students, and people of any gender who are committed to ensuring all people receive fair treatment under the law and inside and outside the workplace, regardless of sex.
As president, Audrey will lead and strengthen Lawyers Club as a San Diego nucleus for advocacy, inclusion, and leadership. “Lawyers Club of San Diego has made a significant impact on my professional development and personal growth,” said Audrey. “I am deeply honored by this opportunity to give back to an organization that means so much to me. The work of Lawyers Club is relevant and vital, and I’m thrilled to be a part of the ongoing effort to ensure women rise in the legal profession and society.”
Audrey, an active Lawyers Club member since she was a law student, is dedicated to driving the advancement of equality in every form and has served on the organization’s Board of Directors since 2020. Most recently she served as Lawyers Club’s Vice President of Professional Development and previously served as co-chair of the Annual Dinner Committee, Professional Advancement Committee, and Law Student Outreach Committee. In addition, since 2015, she has volunteered with a number of other committees to further the advancement of members and the organization.
“Audrey represents the best of what Fisher Phillips has to offer as she is always striving to make a positive impact on the firm, the profession, and the community as a whole,” said Christopher C. Hoffman, Regional Managing Partner of Fisher Phillips’ San Diego office. “We will rally around her in her new leadership role, and she will have our support as she continues her dedication to this important organization.”
A rising star at Fisher Phillips, Audrey focuses her practice on employment law, representing employers in a variety of workplace disputes, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, failure to accommodate, and wage and hour litigation. Audrey also conducts workplace investigations and provides implicit bias, microaggression, and workplace investigation trainings. She earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of San Diego School of Law.
