Atlanta Workplace Safety Partner Discusses Best Practices to Protect Employees

Publication

9.13.22

In an article published in News-Press, Edwin Foulke discusses steps employers can take to protect employees in the workplace. Ed says that a “company with a strong safety culture is one that seeks out potential risks and goes the distance to prevent them from happening.” He suggests employers adopt new risk-based systems to preemptively assess hazards and liability, and he details resources offered by the Florida Chamber Safety Council including a variety of trainings, webinars, and other programming to help increase safety, health, and sustainability.

Ed explains that worker’s compensation insurance alone is not enough to protect your business and that data shows the true cost is five times your worker’s compensation cost. “To help get ahead of this drain on your company’s profitability, prioritize and persistently enforce a safety culture within your company and facilitate a sense of individual accountability for personal safety on and off the job,” Ed adds.
