In an interview with Law360, John Surma discussed an Iowa medical board's decision to dismiss disciplinary charges against a doctor who used self-defense against a violent patient. “The board's decision, although not a legal opinion, could open the door for other providers to use similar arguments to protect themselves from similar lawsuits or board sanctions,” said John.
