In an interview with the Boston Business Journal, Kevin Troutman discusses how hospital executives can help combat the nursing shortage. Kevin explains that hospital executives can walk through the facilities and ensure that nurses see leadership taking action to improve conditions. "When there's a question or there's a serious issue, (hospital executives need to) listen to them, try to help the nurses work through it, and if they've got an idea or suggestion, run it up the flagpole and give it some legitimate consideration," he said.
