Fisher Phillips is proud to announce that partners Michael Marra (New York), Joshua Nadreau (Boston), and Monica Snyder Perl (Boston) have been selected as “2026 Law360 Distinguished Legal Writing Award” winners by the Burton Awards. The three partners were honored for their article, "What Employers Can – and Can't – Do About Employee Speech in a Volatile Climate," which provides comprehensive guidance on navigating employee expression across various scenarios, from off-duty social media posts to workplace political debates and protest-related absences.
Established in 1999, The Burton Awards are funded by the Burton Foundation, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, and presented in partnership with the American Bar Association. The awards recognize and reward excellence in the legal profession, with a special emphasis on writing and reform. The Distinguished Legal Writing Award is given to only 20 writers and co-authors from entries submitted by the nation’s 1,000 largest law firms. The authors will be presented the “Law360 Distinguished Legal Writing Awards” on June 1, 2026, at the Library of Congress.
