In an interview with Automotive News, Darcey Groden discussed the surge in legal demand letters and lawsuits targeting auto dealership websites under the California Invasion of Privacy Act. “The split in the California courts introduces uncertainty about whether license-plate reader operators who fail to post privacy notices can be sued. The conflicting rulings may attract the attention of the California Supreme Court,” said Darcey.
