November Dates: An Overview
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that it will follow the State Department’s Dates for Filing chart published in the November Visa Bulletin to determine whether candidates are eligible to submit an Adjustment of Status application on Form I-485 for that month. Dates which appear in this chart must be compared with an employee’s Immigration Priority Date shown on their EB-1/2/3 I-140 approval notice with their current employer to determine eligibility.
Employment-Based Preference Classes for November
The November 2026 Dates for Filing chart shows no movement from October in EB-1, EB-2, or EB-3. Their filing cutoffs remain as shown in the table below.
The exception is the EB-3 Other Workers category: its filing cutoff advanced one month, from June 1 to July 1, 2022, for All Chargeability Areas Except Those Listed and Mexico. The Other Workers cutoffs for China (October 1, 2020), India (January 15, 2015), and the Philippines (June 1, 2022) did not change.

What Should You Do? Your Action Plan
For November, USCIS is using the Dates for Filing chart for employment-based adjustment applications. An otherwise eligible employee may file Form I-485 if the employee’s priority date is earlier than the applicable filing cutoff, or the category is current. Filing does not mean the green card can be approved immediately – an immigrant visa must be available under the Final Action Dates chart at adjudication.
Review employees’ categories, countries of chargeability, and priority dates against the November chart. If an employee may qualify to file in November, contact your immigration attorney promptly to confirm eligibility and prepare the adjustment application and any desired work-authorization or travel-document applications.
