Overview

Roger Quillen is the Chairman Emeritus of Fisher Phillips after acting as its Chairman & Managing Partner for the past 23 years. Over the course of his leadership, the firm has quadrupled in size and is consistently recognized as one of the country’s elite labor and employment law firms. Fisher Phillips has been recognized multiple times by U.S. News and World Report - Best Lawyers as the Law Firm of the Year in various Labor and Employment categories.

Under Roger's leadership, Fisher Phillips has implemented many innovations, including most recently its universally recognized and widely visited COVID-19 Employer Resource Center. Roger has always emphasized client service and in normal times personally visits 10 clients a year to hear first-hand how the firm is performing and how to do better. Roger has also encouraged the development of internal programs to ensure that attorneys and staff across the firm deliver first-rate services to all of the firm’s clients.

As an active lawyer, Roger litigated a wide range of employment discrimination issues, employee welfare benefit plans, the Railway Labor Act and issues arising before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). His practice focused on federal appellate litigation. Roger has argued cases in most of the federal courts of appeals, with subject matter ranging from review of NLRB decisions to class actions arising from changes in retiree health insurance plans.

Roger is “AV” Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell and has received repeat recognition by the various lawyer rating services. He has been named one of “The Nation’s 100 Most Powerful Employment Attorneys” by Human Resources Executive Magazine every year since 2009.
