Overview

James Bradbury is an attorney and trusted advisor who provides practical, results-oriented counsel in complex (and sometimes not-so-complex) employment litigation. With experience across the banking, financial services, healthcare, hospitality, logistics, and transportation sectors, he tailors his approach to meet the needs of each client.

James represents businesses in all kinds of disputes, including employee defection, trade secret, restrictive covenant, wage and hour, employment discrimination, unemployment, contract, and business tort cases. James is effective both at trial and on appeal, drawing from his time as a district court law clerk to persuade fact-finders and his time as an appellate court law clerk to craft clear, compelling, and strategically focused briefs.

A proud "Double Buff," James earned his B.A. summa cum laude in political science and his J.D. from the University of Colorado, where he served as an articles editor of the University of Colorado Law Review. While in school, James interned in the U.S. Senate, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Colorado, the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, among other places.

James is licensed to practice law in Colorado and admitted to the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. He is also a member of the William E. Doyle Inn of Court.

Outside of work, James and his wife are outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy hiking, biking, and skiing. He has climbed all fifty-eight Colorado fourteeners and approaches his clients’ legal challenges with the same planning and determination, helping them reach their own summits however defined.
