In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Todd Logsdon discusses how employers should handle their employees’ Thanksgiving plans amid the surge in COVID-19 cases. He explains that employers need to be really careful about what action they take. Todd said that “bosses are typically within their rights to informally inquire about employee’s Thanksgiving plans but can run into legal pitfalls if they monitor employee’s social media activity or take punitive measures based on how someone spends the day.”
