Fisher Phillips Partner Addresses Employee Privacy with Workforce Magazine
Do employees have the right to privacy in the workplace? Fisher Phillips attorney Jeffrey Dretler addressed that question in an interview with Workforce magazine. According to Dretler, employers have the right to monitor their workforce, only in many places it’s illegal to do so without getting the employee’s consent first. The idea is that as long as an employer tells a potential employee what it intends to monitor, the employee can agree and work there or not agree and find another job.
