Employers May Make Some Pandemic Safety Changes Permanent
In an interview with Bloomberg Law, Benjamin Ross discusses how some companies instituted safety changes in response to COVID-19 and are now deciding to make those safety precautions permanent. Ben told the publication that he believes expanded work-from-home and sick leave policies will change permanently. He noted that “[n]ow companies are thinking of not just someone in their employees’ household being exposed, but also how their workers affect other workers when they’re sick…[t]here is definitely a raised awareness of sick employees coming in to work, and being thoughtful about employee exposures.”
