Columbus Lawyer Discusses the Impact of Executive Order on Diversity Training


The President issued an executive order addressing diversity training at companies with federal government contracts. In an interview with Law Week Colorado, Ray Perez drew from his previous in-house diversity programming experience to explain the potential impact the executive order will have on employers who are now worried about running afoul of the President’s directive. In the interview, Ray recommends that companies avoid a kneejerk reaction and not do away with diversity training altogether. He encourages employers not to panic but rather to focus on the benefits that diversity and inclusion training can add to the workplace, especially in light of today’s social climate.
