Attorney Walks Readers Through Steps to Take During an OSHA Investigation

In an article published by the Daily Reporter titled “That Next OSHA Investigation Might Not Be So Bad,” Oregon attorney Rich Meneghello provides insight on a recent ruling issued by the federal appeals court that limits OHSA’s ability to expand safety investigations past their original scope. Using the ruling in United States v. Mar-Jac Poultry, Inc. as an example, Rich outlines the certain variables that led to the federal judge’s decision to not approve the warrant to expand the investigation. Due to the limitations this ruling provides, he says that “companies now facing an OSHA request for permission to expand an inspection should contact counsel to learn of its legal rights and consider an appropriate response.”
