Restrictive Covenants and Trade Secrets in the Employment Law Context

Restrictive covenants and trade secrets protect employers™ business interests that often times can be put at risk in the context of an employee separation. This program explores what restrictive covenants and trade secrets are and how they can be used to protect those interests. The program explores the types of restrictive covenants available to employers, explains what components are necessary to these covenants to be enforceable under Colorado law, and illustrates what types of information can be protected as a trade secret as well as the protections that come with that designation. The program also discusses the Defend Trade Secrets Act, the changes it has brought to trade secret landscape, and more.
