News

2.23.22

Fisher Phillips, one of the country’s preeminent labor and employment law firms representing employers, is pleased to announce that Jason Roberts has joined the firm as Of Counsel in Philadelphia, an office that has doubled in size over the course the last two years. Since signing a lease to take the 12thfloor of the Two Logan Square building, and executing the move in June 2020, the firm has added 16 attorneys, increasing its Philadelphia headcount to 32 attorneys.

Before joining Fisher Phillips, Jason practiced at an AmLaw 100 firm  and a Philadelphia area employment law boutique where he provided preventive workplace counseling and managed all aspects of employment litigation involving employee discipline and termination, protection of confidential information, restrictive covenants, discrimination, and harassment. He has worked extensively in higher education law having represented large state affiliated universities, historically black colleges and universities, and small liberal arts colleges on issues such as student discipline and Title IX compliance. Jason also has broad experience representing financial services institutions in employment litigation and restrictive covenant matters.

At Fisher Phillips, Jason joins a growing Employee Defection and Trade Secrets practice and adds depth to the firm’s national Education and Financial Services teams. He will continue to defend clients against all forms of employment claims and counsel employers on preventing workplace disputes, and will provide advice on regulatory compliance with state and federal workplace laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act.

Jason earned his J.D. from George Washington University Law School and his B.A from Brandeis University. During law school he interned with the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington D.C., the Public Defender’s Office in Morristown, N.J., and Harlem Legal Services in New York City. Jason has been selected by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star for the last five years and was named to the National Bar Associations 2017-18 class of the Top 40 Under 40 Nation’s Best Advocates.
