Detroit Attorney Discusses Wage and Hour Activity in Michigan

News

3.10.23

In an interview with Law360, Stephen Gee weighs-in on Michigan’s recent wage and hour action in the state legislature and the courts. When discussing the state’s minimum wage and paid sick leave, Stephen believes that one way or another, there will be a $12 minimum wage in Michigan in the near future. He also notes that the top wage and hour agenda item for legislators will likely be focused on passing a modified paid sick leave. "Paid leave, I think it's more of a priority than the minimum wage because the minimum wage law wouldn't be as big of a victory," Steven said.
