
Overview
Zinnia Khan is an associate in Fisher Phillips’ Boston office, where she represents employers in all aspects of employment law. Her practice includes the defense of both single-plaintiff and class action claims involving state and federal anti-discrimination statutes, retaliation, wage and hour laws, and employment agreements.
Zinnia represents clients before state and federal courts as well as administrative agencies, including the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD), the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and fair employment practice agencies across the country. Zinnia is a trusted partner to employers of all sizes and across a wide range of industries, whether navigating complex litigation or managing risk in day-to-day operations.
In her counseling practice, Zinnia regularly advises clients on hiring and termination issues, accommodations, employee leave laws, wage and hour compliance, and criminal background checks. As a trainer accredited by the MCAD, she provides customized workplace trainings on anti-discrimination, anti-retaliation, and leave laws, and helps employers implement best practices through policy development and handbook preparation.
Zinnia also speaks on panels hosted by bar associations and industry groups, presenting on topics such as pay equity and wage transparency. She is an active member of the Boston Bar Association and the Greater Boston South Asian Bar Association.
During law school, Zinnia clerked for the U.S. Department of Justice and held internships at a multinational financial services firm and the Massachusetts Office of the Inspector General.
