
Overview
Tara Kearns defends employers in various industries in a wide range of employment-related claims, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination, as well as wage and hour class actions and PAGA representative actions. She represents employers on matters during pre-litigation through trial. Tara also advises employers on day-to-day employment issues, conducts workplace investigations, and counsels on preventive measures to avoid litigation. Her experience includes representing employers before the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH), now the California Civil Rights Department (CRD).
Before joining Fisher Phillips, Tara was senior counsel at a litigation law firm where she focused on employment law matters in state and federal court and arbitration. Prior to that, Tara worked for a government entity, focusing on employment law matters.
