
Overview
Sean McKaveney is an associate in the firm’s San Diego office. He has defended clients in all areas of employment litigation, including wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour, California Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) claims, and highly publicized and televised cases that have garnered statewide attention.
Sean is also a member of the Fisher Phillips Sports Team, a group of more than 35 attorneys who were collegiate or professional athletes and who are now dedicated to advising sports employers. Sean has represented several prominent sports clients, including NFL franchises and international golf equipment providers, and achieved successful outcomes. Regarding his personal athletic background, Sean was formerly an NCAA starting quarterback and team captain, and is now a champion endurance athlete. He has completed some of the most challenging adventure races in the world, including a half marathon on the Great Wall of China, a marathon at Mount Everest, and an ultramarathon in Antarctica. He is also a master scuba diver with several technical certifications beyond recreational limits.
Sean received his B.A. in Government from Claremont McKenna College, and his J.D. from UCLA School of Law.
