
Overview
With a career that spans over two decades, Rene counsels and represents employers in various workplace-related matters, including discrimination and harassment claims, leaves of absence, reasonable accommodations, and HR-related issues. Rene’s experience includes advising on the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and Title VII, as well as conducting internal investigations and developing effective policies and procedures.
Before joining Fisher Phillips, Rene was an attorney supervisor at the California Department of Transportation where he managed a team of attorneys representing the state in employment, tort, and construction matters. He also worked as a supervising deputy attorney general for the California Attorney General’s Office, managing a team of attorneys representing the state in complex civil matters.
