Overview
Monica Simmons represents and counsels employers in a full range of employment law matters, with a particular emphasis on wage-and-hour issues, and class and collective actions.
Prior to joining Fisher Phillips, Monica worked as an associate at a AmLaw200 firm, where she represented employers and their senior managers in disputes involving claims of employment discrimination; retaliation; minimum wage and overtime pay violations; sexual harassment; and breach of contractual obligations. She has experience defending class and collective actions, and PAGA actions.
Monica began her legal career prosecuting child abuse and domestic violence cases for the Delaware Department of Justice under the leadership of the late Beau Biden. She also clerked for United States District Judge Nitza I. Quiñones Alejandro and Delaware Superior Court Judge William L. Witham Jr.
