Overview
Mildred Lima defends and counsels businesses involved in employment-related disputes and litigation.
Before joining Fisher Phillips, Mildred was an associate attorney in the Orange County office of a regional law firm, where she represented clients in labor and employment, personal injury, civil rights, public entity defense, professional liability, and other civil litigation matters in California state and federal courts. Prior to that, she defended medical professionals in malpractice cases and counseled healthcare facilities and professionals on employee training, discipline, and discharge, as well as compliance with state laws, claims, and state board administrative actions.
While in law school, Mildred served as a judicial extern to Hon. Dolly M. Gee in the United States District Court for the Central District of California. She also served as a certified legal intern for the California Attorney General’s Office’s Licensing Department, where she represented California agencies in denying and revoking licenses in cases brought against state-licensed professionals. She was a published member of the Loyola of Los Angeles International and Comparative Law Review and formed part of Loyola’s HNBA Moot Court team, where she earned third place overall and first place brief in the national competition.
Mildred currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Latina Lawyers Bar Association, in which capacity she frequently develops programming, including CLE seminars and panels, on various legal issues.
