
Overview
Michaela is an associate in the firm’s Atlanta office, where she defends employers in various aspects of workplace law disputes, including claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination. She also advises employers in all aspects of traditional labor law.
Michaela graduated from Mercer University School of Law. While in law school, Michaela served as the Student Bar Association President and was awarded the Distinguished Leadership Award upon graduation. She was also a student member in the William Augustus Bootle Inn of Court, chaired the Community Outreach Committee, and volunteered as a mentor for the Association of Women Lawyers. While in law school, she earned a CALI Excellence Award in Advanced Writing.
During her time in law school, Michaela gained experience representing clients in Mercer Law’s Consumer Bankruptcy Externship. She assisted in filing four Chapter 7 consumer bankruptcy cases in the Middle District of Georgia. She also externed for Hero Practice Services, a healthcare practice management company that supports offices that provide care to underserved communities across the United States.
Michaela majored in Political Science at the University of South Carolina, graduating with honors.
