Matthew Smock defends employers in various industries in matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour claims. With a proven track record of success in federal and state courts, Matthew has significant experience in all phases of litigation, including trial and appeal, and in defending class actions and cases brought under Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities (ADA) and Rehabilitation Acts, and Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA).
Before joining Fisher Phillips, Matthew was an Assistant United States Attorney for the Central District of California. There, he represented the United States and its agencies in over 100 civil cases, including class action and employment discrimination, harassment, and retaliation cases. He also co-chaired three trials and defended multiple appeals before the Ninth Circuit.
