With extensive experience in both state and federal courts, Matt has represented clients in industries such as construction, manufacturing, technology, healthcare, and professional services in single-plaintiff and class-wide actions. He has also appeared before various administrative agencies, including the Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH), Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Department of Industrial Relations (DIR), and the Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH). In addition, Matt advises clients on implementing best practices to minimize risk and ensures their policies, procedures, and handbooks are up to date with ever-changing employment laws.
Matt's extensive experience in employment law spans more than 15 years, during which he has represented clients in a wide range of matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination claims. He has also defended clients against claims of assault and workplace violence. Before joining Fisher Phillips, Matthew was a partner at a Los Angeles-based law firm, where he advised businesses and public entities on employment law matters and represented them in employment-related litigation.
