Marie Scott

Her experience includes internal investigations, complex civil litigation, crisis management, and workplace-safety incidents and fatalities. In these matters, Marie coordinates overlapping criminal, civil, operational, and public relations considerations so that each part of the response supports the client’s objectives.

Before joining Fisher Phillips, Marie practiced at a Nashville law firm where she handled white-collar criminal defense, crisis management, complex civil matters, and internal investigations. She previously served as a law clerk in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee. She is actively involved in the Nashville legal community, currently serving as a trustee of the Nashville Bar Foundation and previously serving as the first vice president of the Nashville Bar Association and co-chair of the Nashville Bar Foundation Leadership Law program.

Before entering the legal profession, Marie worked as a neurophysiologist alongside orthopedic surgeons and neurosurgeons in cranial and spinal procedures, bringing an uncommon scientific background to her legal practice. She graduated from Saint Louis University School of Law and the University of Virginia in her home state.
