
Overview
Kimberly Wilkens has over seven years of employment law and litigation experience. Kimberly represents employers in various labor and employment issues, including discrimination, harassment, and wage and hour claims. Kimberly also advises on hiring, terminations, leaves, and accommodations. She has successfully litigated numerous matters involving Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and New York City Human Rights Law (NYCHRL) claims. Additionally, Kimberly drafts and reviews policies, employee handbooks, and training materials to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
Prior tojoining Fisher Phillips, Kimberly most recently served as employment counsel for the United States Postal Service where she counseled on various employment issues and defended the agency in administrative hearings and negotiations before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and in federal court. Before working for the USPS, Kimberly was an associate at a national labor and employment law firm and began her career as an Assistant Corporation Counsel defending New York City’s various agencies in employment law claims in both state and federal court.
