
Overview
Kiki Okpala is an associate in Fisher Phillips’ San Francisco office, where she advises and represents employers in all areas of labor and employment law.
Kiki has experience handling matters filed in state and federal courts, before administrative agencies such as the EEOC, the California Civil Rights Department (CRD), and the Labor Commissioner’s Office, as well as in arbitration forums. She has litigated single-plaintiff and class actions involving claims of discrimination, retaliation, and harassment, as well as class and PAGA actions asserting wage and hour violations. She has successfully resolved disputes at both the litigation and pre-litigation stages through mediation and direct negotiations.
In addition to her litigation practice, Kiki counsels employers on day-to-day workplace issues, including drafting and revising employment documents such as employee handbooks, offer letters, termination letters, and severance agreements. She regularly provides guidance on employee relations, discipline, terminations, and reductions in force. Kiki also conducts anti-harassment trainings for supervisors and employees and assists clients with workplace investigations.
Before joining the firm, Kiki was a summer associate with the San Francisco office. She earned her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where she was an active member of the UC Hastings Trial Team, the Black Law Students Association, and the Women of Color Collective.
