Overview
Jake Bass helps businesses navigate sensitive workplace disputes, reputational challenges, and contentious litigation. His engagements often involve counseling major corporations in the midst of national scandals, and he frequently works with clients of all sizes to mitigate the exposure and negative publicity related to their employment decisions. Over the course of his career, Jake has represented a number of employers in discrimination, defamation, employee defections, fraud, false advertising, breach of contract, and unfair competition matters. He also routinely counsels companies on properly securing their employee-produced intellectual property. He has particular experience working with news media, entertainment, airline, fashion, manufacturing, food and beverage, and life sciences clients, as well as nascent start-ups.
Prior to joining Fisher Phillips's office in Denver, Jake worked as an associate at an international, multi-practice law firm in New York, where he specialized in intellectual property, employment matters, news and entertainment counseling, and general commercial litigation.
Outside of his law practice, Jake serves as CureSearch's Corporate Engagement Chair for Colorado.
