Overview
Courtney West represents employers in a wide range of employment and labor matters including harassment, discrimination, wrongful termination, retaliation, and wage and hour disputes. She also counsels and assists employers with the development of employee handbooks and policies.
Courtney received her J.D. from the University of California, Irvine School of Law where she was a member of the UC Irvine Law Review. While in law school, Courtney worked as a law clerk for the San Diego City Attorney’s Office. Courtney also participated in the Domestic Violence Clinic for three semesters, which gave her the opportunity to represent clients in Family Court.
Prior to attending law school, Courtney was a Teach for America corps member and taught mathematics at Urban Corps Charter School in San Diego. While teaching, she earned her Master’s in Education.
Courtney received her B.A. in Economics from Boston College where she was a member of the marathon team.
