Overview
Brittany “Britt” Swett helps colleges, universities, K-12 schools, and employers manage sensitive civil rights and workplace matters with practical guidance grounded in a decade’s worth of experience. Her practice focuses on Title VI, Title VII, and Title IX compliance matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and workplace misconduct issues that require careful judgment, institutional credibility, and defensible process.
Britt frequently conducts trauma-informed investigations into complex matters involving employees and students. Britt also serves as a neutral Title IX hearing officer and informal resolution facilitator for educational institutions addressing misconduct matters involving students and employees. Britt advises institutions on investigation strategy, policy development, interim measures, training, and preventive practices designed to strengthen compliance programs and support campus and workplace communities.
