Alex West

Alex West advises employers in workplace issues, with a focus on occupational safety and health issues and state regulatory enforcement matters. Alex’s experience includes representing businesses facing inspections by the Virginia Occupational Safety and Health (VOSH) Division of the Virginia Department of Labor and Industry (DOLI) and the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). As a former Litigation Manager for DOLI, his experience on the government side is valuable to businesses looking to respond appropriately to government investigations.

Prior to joining Fisher Phillips, Alex was of counsel for a full-service law firm in Virginia where he specialized in civil litigation and employer-side workplace and occupational safety matters. While at DOLI, he reviewed enforcement cases pre-citation and handled post-contest litigation in circuit courts and the Court of Appeals.
