When a Stranger Calls:  Handling Federal and State Wage and Hour Audits

• How to reply to the initial notice of audit;
• How to respond to what typically is an overbroad (and largely onerous and unnecessary) request for information;
• How to minimize your liability, back pay, and penalties imposed by these agencies, including proper use of position statements; and,
• How best to approach the subject of settlement and compromise.
