In an article published by Construction Executive, Steve Loewengart discusses some of the Biden Administration’s expected changes to enforcement under the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). He explains that Biden is likely to increase the number of OSHA inspectors, which means that construction companies should expect to see a rise in the number of OSHA site visits and corresponding citations. He also touches on what to expect as to OSHA’s guidance on coronavirus protection and vaccines. Steve’s take-home message to construction employers is to continue to “place a focus on employee safety and health by investing resources into identifying and eliminating hazards on their worksites.” He adds that, “in doing so they will be better positioned to manage their workforces under the Biden administration by ensuring their COVID-19 safety policies and procedures, along with their safety training and hazard assessments, are compliant with CDC guidance and current OSHA regulations.”
