The Rise of Remote Working – What Employers Need to Know

The trend toward remote working has been steadily rising over the past 10 to 15 years, and during this time employers have been learning how to accommodate remote-work arrangements while ensuring their workforce remains productive and engaged. In an interview with Human Resource Executive, Jessie Bustamante touched on the fact that trust is a big part of the equation when it comes to remote work arrangements. She explained that with telework situations employers do not have the same level of oversight that they would in an in-person setting, so she encourages employers to stay focused on the big picture - whether the work is getting done - rather than focusing on how their remote employees are spending each and every minute of their days.
