Staying Cool this Summer: What California Employers Need to Know in Navigating Cal-OSHA's Indoor and Outdoor Heat Illness Regulations
Event
5.20.25
9:30 AM — 10:45 AM PDT
As summer approaches, California employers will need to assess and implement measures to address elevated temperatures in indoor and outdoor workplaces. This webinar provides an overview of Cal/OSHA’s Indoor and Outdoor Heat Illness Prevention Regulations, from the obligation to provide access to water and shade and cooldown recovery periods, to the requirement to monitor indoor temperatures and assess engineering and administrative controls for indoor work areas. We will offer practical tips for how to protect workers during high heat conditions, while ensuring your heat illness prevention program can pass muster with the enforcement agency.
This webinar is designed for employers in industries like agriculture, construction, and landscaping with employees who work outdoors in high heat conditions, as well as businesses operating warehouses, distribution centers, restaurants and other workplaces where the indoor temperature may be elevated.
The firm is submitting this webinar for HRCI/SHRM credit.
