St. Jude Tests Ways to Narrow the Workforce Gender Gap

With women equality issues in the political forefront, many initiatives have been implemented in order to close the gender pay gap. Joining in on the conversation, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital hosted Fisher Phillips' annual labor and employment seminar where one panel discussion was on the topic of "Getting Real About the Gender Gap."
In the article, "St. Jude Tests Ways to Narrow the Workforce Gender Gap," featured in the Memphis Business Journal, Robyn Diaz, senior vice presidents and chief legal officer for St. Jude discusses the importance of women in leadership and recalls her own experiences.
As a pediatric hospital, St. Jude doesn't have a shortage of women applicants, Diaz said. But, it has lost talented female physicians who go elsewhere for leadership positions.
