The article “Spokeo's Challenge to 'No Injury' Suits Likely to Impact Employment Claims ” discussed how no matter what the the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling is on whether plaintiffs who don't allege tangible harms have standing to sue, it will likely have a far-reaching impact on class actions by workers and job applicants.
Rich was quoted on his take of the potential outcome of the ruling.
"Employers will see a vast increase in class action lawsuits under all these laws if the court agrees with the 9th Circuit," said Rich. But a win for Spokeo, he said, could dissuade plaintiffs' lawyers from filing many lawsuits in the first place.
