In an interview with Cleveland.com, Steve Loewengart discussed the Governor’s signature of House Bill 352, which is an overhaul of Ohio’s workplace discrimination laws to essentially bring them into alignment with federal law. One of the key aspects of new legislation is that the statute of limitations for bringing employment discrimination claims has been reduced from six years down to two years. Steve explained that the original six-year statute of limitations was the “longest of any state in the nation,” which he believed was “too long to have claims languishing while evidence disappears, memories fade – all that.”
